Success Story

    Hero, Hawk and Open Hand
UniKeep’s client was a commercial printer who often works with The Art Institute of Chicago to produce complete packages for exhibitions and various Institute programs.  Most packages include printed and hole punched pages along with custom tabs and high-resolution art prints of the various pieces in an exhibit. For this exhibition, The Art Institute wanted an upscale, comprehensive package to project a more artistic image than they were getting with tired, traditional three ring binders.

UniKeep offered the black View Case Binder™ to neatly enclose all of the varied materials in the package.  The UniKeep binder offers the flexibility of a traditional three ring binder, with integrated protection and security for the documents that made the addition of a slipcover or box unnecessary.  By printing directly on the clear poly overlay of the binder, UniKeep was able to achieve the high-resolution reproduction that The Art Institute required in print that is less likely to be separated from the other materials.  Unlike vinyl binders with inserts or even turned-edge binders, the design seamlessly wraps around the binder.  By printing on the clear poly, the design achieves a depth of color and gloss that is not available on paper.  The enclosed case prevents tear-out and torn edges so the contents remain in presentation condition as a collectible and archivable reference.

The binders were delivered to the commercial printer where each could be quickly loaded with the sets of internal pages.  The complete delivered piece was exactly what The Art Institute of Chicago wanted:  effective and memorable presentation with pristine presentation that allowed the package to project the importance of the pieces that the Institute had brought together in this unique exhibition.
