UniKeep Wins IABC/Columbus Bronze Quill Awards

Marysville, OH  -- July 27, 2006 -- UniKeep LLC is pleased to announce they recently received two Bronze Quill Awards of Excellence.  UniKeep won the awards for its EnvyPak Business Response Ad and “Not just binders anymore” digital media kit.  Awards were presented during the Bronze Quill Awards Ceremony on July 19th in Columbus, Ohio.

IABC/Columbus, the central Ohio Chapter for the International Association of Business Communicators, sponsors the Bronze Quill award as its commitment to recognizing excellence in the communications field.  The Bronze Quill is IABC/Columbus’ most prestigious award.  IABC/Columbus’ mission is to advance the profession and the quality of business and organizational communications.  The competition has three divisions – Skills, Strategies, and Student – with various entry categories. Every professional and student communicator in central Ohio is eligible to enter the competition. 

“This year’s entries were judged by communicators across the nation – from IABC chapters in Houston, Topeka, Memphis and New Jersey,” stated Deanna Biros, President of IABC’s Columbus Chapter.  “IABC members include professionals in a variety of communication disciplines and the Bronze Quill awards focus on local achievements.  Communicators in central Ohio are doing tremendous work,” remarked Biros.

Entries are judged by rating on seven criteria according to the effectiveness of achieving objectives and generating results.  The award winning ad, written and designed by UniKeep’s Karen Sullivan, was an EnvyPak insert in HOW Magazine.  The insert ran next to a full-page ad with a reader response number that corresponded to HOW’s standard, bound-in BRC.  The goal was to show how EnvyPak can easily be custom designed into marketing pieces and it resulted in over three times more responses that continued to come in for a full year after publication.

UniKeep’s winning digital media kit, produced by Michelle Kochan, was an interactive application animated to imitate and illustrate the functionality of UniKeep products.   The complete kit included the disc in an adhesive UniKeep sleeve inside of a UniKeep binder with product information and samples.
